"How To Sell A Product That Delivers Itself"

Introduction

In the pages ahead I will show you a very interesting way to increase your current income by selling a hot product that literally “delivers itself” – all you do is collect the money, once you have put everything in place.

What is an E-Product?

The old-fashioned concept of a “product” is something like this: a sweater, book car, strawberries, shampoo, etc.  In other words, products are usually thought of as something ‘tangible”.  These include items that have to be bought at a store, or delivered via mail order. These  are usually what we think of as “products”.

But wait – there is another kind of product today, one that you can’t touch, taste or smell, yet people are willing to pay for it!

With the explosion of the internet, huge amounts of information, services, games, music, photos and many other things can be delivered “online” as E-Products!

My Story

Here goes – the honest truth about how and why I got interested in self-delivering products. Don’t laugh!!!

I am a professional jazz guitarist in New York City.  I have 4 CD’s out and go on tour a few times a year.  Playing music is my main passion. It’s exciting and very fulfilling.

However, I found that I needed to earn extra money to live the lifestyle I now have.  A few years ago I decided to do something about it and started studying marketing.

I tried a few “real” jobs prior to that – web design (I am self-taught) and teaching guitar at music schools, but basically I always ran into the same problem:  Working for another organization or person meant that I could not “call my own shots”.

I desperately needed a way to generate income on my own terms, so that I could be independent and flexible in my hours so that I could do things like go on tour in Europe, or take time off to relax without putting my income in jeopardy, or upsetting my boss.

What I am trying to say is – I got motivated to make money on my own!!!

An Amazing E-Product Is Born…

I created a web-based service that “delivers itself” when people pay for it.  It’s a beautiful thing.  I work on it when my hours allow me to so that I can play guitar enjoy life when I want. 

It is set up so that when people buy it, their service gets “activated immediately”  without my having to actually do anything .  The work has already been done ahead of time. Their money gets wired into my bank account when they buy from me!!!

With this scenario set up (after months of hard work programming at my computer)  I don’t even need to know that someone actually even “bought” the product, even though it sure is nice to know when it happens.  The cash goes straight into the bank.

Sounds  Amazing, But What Kind Of Product Is It?

It’s a web-based email auto-responder service so that independent marketers (like you and me!!!) can send a whole series of follow-up emails automatically to anyone that expresses interest in their product.

For purposes of illustration, let’s say you are selling a cookbook online. Here’s how an autoresponder could help you boost sales of your cookbook. 

To find people who might be interested in your product, you could offer a FREE Recipe as an Instant Reply Email from your website.  When they send you an email they get automatically added to your “HOT LIST” and the FREE recipes are automatically delivered to them in just a few seconds.

Each one of these “HOT LIST”  people who are interested in cooking and recipes will continue to receive your additional follow up messages, which will contain your marketing copy and ordering information.

The central idea is that people are more likely to buy from you if you keep reminding them  about your product, and why they need it.  Statistics show that 67% of people who buy a product have seen the ad more than once.

Because this is a computerized “robot” it allows for a very high volume of inquiries and follow up emails.

Let’s say 1000 people click your free recipe link and you have 7 follow up messages to follow the instant reply

That’s 8 messages for 1000 people, so that would be 8000 follow ups total.  If you had to do that manually, you would probably go nuts!  But with an autoresponder, you could be sleeping while this all happens!!!

You wouldn’t even  have to lift a finger to send hundreds of thousands of follow-up messages.  It’s that powerful!!!

In Conclusion…

I hope that I have given you some new ideas about setting up an E-Product and having it “deliver itself” or “activate an account” as soon as a customer pays for it.  Remember – there are more than just “tangible” products!

Selling E-products is a very convenient way to do your marketing by if you don’t like to be locked into a schedule.  You’ll need to work hard “up front” to develop your product but it’s worth it later on down the line, so that you can just sit back, relax and get paid.  Isn’t that what we all want?

Try to find a product or service that people really need, or that solves some sort of problem for them.
